Auction — “Meet us in Palm Springs”

"Meet Us in Palm Springs" for an evening of dinner, drinks, and fundraising as we celebrate our school community!

When: Saturday, March 9th, 2024, from 6-10 pm

Where: The Mountaineers Club, 7700 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle

Who: The auction is an adults-only event open to Wedgwood parents, caregivers, teachers, and staff. 

Cost: Tickets are a suggested donation of $40, and this price includes your dinner. Drinks will also be available for purchase at the auction.

The auction is the final fundraiser of the school year and will help us reach our fundraising goal! The evening will include dinner, games, a silent and live auction, and a "text to donate" fundraiser.

About the event:

There will be a silent and live auction, dinner, and games. Visit old friends, make new friends, and join our community to raise money for our Wedgwood Marmots!

A few of the past favorite events include a gift card frenzy, wine toss, and dessert dash. We will also play games like Heads or Tails, with fun raffles to enter. On the evening of the auction, you will also have the option to bid on silent auction items that interest you or participate in the live auction. 

A list of all the games, raffles, and live and auction items will be available before the auction.

How Can I Help?

It takes a village to have a successful auction, and there are so many ways to get involved, from donating items to your time by hosting a party or helping classes create art to be sold at the auction. All donations will help raise money for our school!

Donate to the Auction

Donate an item or service to include in our silent auction. Ideas include gift cards, gift baskets, professional services or other talents, arts or sporting tickets, local swim parties, and vacation rentals.

Donate Wine for the Wine Wall

Every Wednesday, we will be accepting bottles of wine for the wine wall! We need around 60 bottles priced at about $20-$30 to make this a success.

Donate a Dessert

Calling all bakers – we are looking for 20 desserts for the popular dessert dash at the auction. Each dessert should feed a table of 8 and can be homemade or purchased, humble or fancy!

Host a Sign-Up Party

Throw a party after the auction. You choose an activity/theme (e.g., Moms Night In, Poker Night, Yoga, etc.) and offer to host (or co-host) by coordinating the space/supplies. Parents can "buy" an invitation during the silent auction by donating to the school.

Volunteer with Classroom Art

Work with students from a class to create a piece of artwork to be sold at the auction. Responsibilities include designing a project (we have ideas!), coordinating with the teacher to find a time to work with students, and putting the project together to be sold at the auction.

Volunteer at the Event

It takes a lot of hands on the day of the auction to make this event a success – things like running errands, setting up the auction displays, helping with games and decor, and assisting the auctioneer.
