Comfort Kits Due to Your Child’s Classroom Friday, Dec. 14

Is that Ziploc bag stuffed with comfort kit items for your kiddo still sitting on your countertop? Time to finish it and return it to your child’s teacher. Please visit this PTA website page if you’re missing the suggested items list or sample letter, and remember: scholarships are available for any family who needs assistance.

Wondering where this idea for comfort kits came from? Visit our new blog on the PTA Website to learn about the trio of Wedgwood volunteers responsible for ensuring that each child at our school is safe and comfortable during an emergency.

Holiday gifts for Wedgwood specialists and staff

It’s time to plan for holiday gifts for specialists & staff - anyone at Wedgwood who doesn’t have a room parent to organize a gift for them (e.g., Music, Art, P.E., custodians, office staff, crossing guard). Contributions can be made via Venmo (judy@akalaitis.net) or PayPal and are due by Sunday, December 16. Please comment “Specialists” when sending. This is entirely optional. Thank you in advance for your generosity!

Cultural Festival needs an event lead!

Don’t let this culturally rich celebration go away! We are looking for someone in our community to step up and carry on this wonderful tradition. You will have last year’s event chairs as resources, and the adoration of an entire school community. Please contact Chantel Anderson at marmotptaevents@gmail.com for more information. Find out more on the PTA website.

Visit Wedgwood PTA's new website!

Don't forget to check out the new website dedicated to PTA news, information and events at Wedgwood Elementary. We recognized the need for a dedicated place families can go for information ranging from the lunch bell schedule to the calendar of events to a breakdown of what the PTA does at Wedgwood Elementary. We hope you’ll find it to be a useful tool and encourage you all to spend some time checking it out! https://www.wedgwoodpta.org/.

Wedgwood Pantry

Thank you to everyone who donated to the food drive at the Fall dance. Thanks to your generosity we have filled up the Wedgwood Pantry. If your family is in need of food support simply visit the pantry (located in the basement near the elevator) and either grab pre-packaged bags or select whatever you'd like by creating your own bag. The Wedgwood Pantry is supplemented all year long by donating to the food drive bin at the main entrance. Thank you for your support! - Yoko Shimomura

Also: Please contact shimomurayoko@gmail.com if you have interest in managing the Wedgwood Pantry next year.... I am graduating.
