Snow Make-Up Day

Seattle Schools has announced that on Wednesday, January 29th, schools will be in session to make up for the snow day last week. The 29th was supposed to be a day off in between semesters, but school will proceed as usual in order to meet the required annual instructional hours. This allows the last day of school to remain as scheduled on June 18th, provided we don’t incur any more snow days.

Potluck & Guest Speaker

This Wednesday evening, the PTA welcomes back wonderful guest speaker Michelle Warsing to help us learn about childhood anxiety. This is the first of three guest speakers we sponsor throughout the year, and we invite you to join us for a family potluck beforehand. Mr. Liu will provide pizza; bring a side dish if you are able. No RSVP needed. Childcare is available for the guest speaker portion of the evening. Hope to see you there!

School Tours & Open House

Do you have friends or neighbors with little ones ready to start Kindergarten? Wedgwood will host its open house on Thursday, January 23rd from 6:30-8:00pm. Spread the word!

Volunteers Needed: here is your chance to welcome new families to Wedgwood by introducing them to the school with a tour! We are looking for a few more Wedgwood ambassadors to lead small group tours following a welcome message from Principal Liu. The tour will last 30-45 minutes, and will be an informal way for incoming-kindergarten families and new-to-the-neighborhood families to check out the school and learn more about our vibrant, active community. Please email Justin Day if you're interested in helping out.

Donate Goods or Services to the Auction

The annual Wedgwood Auction raises a significant portion of our yearly budget. This funding enables us to support staffing, enrichment and community-building efforts for our students. How is this possible? YOU.

Are you a business owner? Do you have a vacation home or a boat? Are you great at hosting parties or teaching new skills? We need your help! Please consider donating a good or service to the Auction to help us raise money for our school. Contact Roshni Hourselt with any questions, or download our Auction donation form here. Learn more about sponsorship levels hereThank you for supporting our Wedgwood community!

Mighty Movers Sign-Ups

Mighty Movers gets kids moving after lunch and rewards them with fun prizes! We need your help to make it happen. Please consider signing up for a shift or two and help us keep this fun, healthy program running. Thank you!
