Yee-Haw! Come on down to the Fall Dance Hoedown!
Mosey on down to the Wild, Wild, Wedgwood Elementary corral for a good ol’ night of dancing and games for the entire family. Free admission! Western themed swag will be available for purchase Thursday after school and during the dance (while supplies last). WANTED – canned or boxed food items (soups, meats, fruits, vegetables, beans, and pasta) for the annual Wedgwood Pantry Food Drive. Don’t forget to wrangle up kid-friendly foods (mac & cheese, crackers, etc.).

Thank you, Movers!
Thank you to all of our Marmots who ran, skipped and walked around the track at the Move-A-Thon last Friday! 440 students moved 6,354 laps; that’s over 794 miles moved for Wedgwood!
More than 50 volunteers showed up to tally laps, hand out popcorn, take photos, and cheer on our movers - we couldn’t have done it without you. Special thanks to parent lead Lillian Keil for coordinating the event, and to everyone who made this fundraiser possible, especially Roshni Hourselt, Gina Appel, DJ Todd, Jason Keil and Caleb Kytonen. We love our Wedgwood community!

Brrr…it’s Cold in Here. There Must be a Book Fair in the Atmosphere
The Scholastic Book Fair is coming to Wedgwood November 12th through 15th. For every dollar you spend at the book fair, Scholastic gives back a portion to our school library to help our students have the books they LOVE. Teachers will let you know when their class is visiting the book fair so you can send money in with your student, or visit the fair while you’re at the fall dance on Friday the 15th.
We need volunteers to make this happen! You can sign up here to help in a variety of roles. Thank you!
Play Ultimate Frisbee at Wedgwood
Want to learn the ultimate sport? All 3rd-5th grade Wedgwood students are invited to come learn how to play ultimate frisbee on Monday nights from 6:15-7:30 pm in the Wedgwood gym! Grab your tennis shoes, a water bottle and a parent, and come learn some basic skills and have fun. No experience necessary! Play begins today, Monday, November 4th. Jazz at JAMS
Jane Addams Middle School Senior Jazz Band is hosting a benefit concert on November 7th at 7pm in JAMS Auditorium, and would like to invite students, family and faculty of Wedgwood to attend. This concert is to help raise funds for the band to attend the Jazz Education Network Conference in New Orleans, where they are the only middle school band selected to perform!
JAMS Senior Jazz Band has a Wedgwood alumni, Peter Strickland, Class of 2017, on Tenor Saxophone. Wedgwood's instrumental music teacher, Alex Dugdale, will also be making a guest appearance. Hope to see you there!

Our wonderful garden docents need parent help for garden lessons! Please consider signing up for a shift or two; no gardening or teaching experience needed. You can sign up for your own childs’ classroom lesson time, or for any open shift. Thank you!
