Welcome to the Wedgwood Weekly!
We’d like to extend a special welcome to our new Kindergarten families and those joining Wedgwood for the first time. And welcome back to all of our returning families – we’re so excited to start another school year!
The Wedgwood Weekly is sent home each Monday where you’ll find important dates-at-a-glance, information on upcoming events and activities at school, as well as extracurricular opportunities for our kids within the NE Seattle community.

Back to School Packets
The manila envelope that went home with your child on their first day of school has several important documents – some that need to be returned, and some that are informational. As a reminder: the documents that need to be returned to the main office are:
Survey Form to Identify Disabled Students (504-2) – This survey should be filled out if you think your child has a disability or if you have documentation that your child is disabled (and is NOT currently served by Special Education). If you child does not currently receive 504 services or is not disabled, you do not need to complete this form.
Family Educational Rights and Privacy Form (FERPA)
Student Housing Questionnaire
Title VII Indian Education – for new students only

Comfort Kits
In your back to school packet was a letter on Wedgwood’s efforts to make sure each child has a comfort kit in their classroom. Please visit here for the suggested items list or sample letter, and remember: scholarships are available for any family who needs assistance. Please return this to your child’s classroom by October 1st.

Spirit Gear
Get in the back-to-school spirit with some new spirit gear! Order forms for hoodies and t-shirts are now available on the table outside the front office, or print this order form and turn it in to the office. Orders are due September 27th.
Thank you BBQ Volunteers!
A big thank you to parent volunteers Tara Carey, JoAnne Paegle and Kim Vandervort for organizing the Back to School BBQ last Friday. Hot dogs were eaten, games were played, ice cream was scooped, and much needed supplies were collected for Olympic Hills Elementary. Families got reacquainted, and the kids all had a blast getting to play with friends and see their teachers outside of the classroom. We’re so grateful to everyone who raised their hand to help make sure the school year gets off to a great start with our annual BBQ!
